I just heard the news about the passing of Sally Swift, founder of Centered Riding, and an accomplished author. Sally had an unbelievable life. When I watched her win the Equine Industry Vision Award sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health at the American Horse Publications seminar last year, I was amazed at all she had accomplished in her life. She truly was an amazing woman. I know that those people whose lives she touched will deeply miss her.

You can more about Sally Swift at: http://www.usef.org/_IFrames/newsdisplay/viewPR.aspx?id=4259.

If anyone has any Sally Swift stories to help honor her memory, I hope you will share in this thread.

In the early '80's I was teaching skiing in Telluride, Co. The ski school organized a clinic with Sally on "Centered Skiing". I was fortunate to ride up on the ski lift with her. We discovered that we had both lived in Hingham. MA and loved riding horses. So on the lift up she helped me with centered riding and on the way down it was centered skiing! What a help she was to both sports. Thank you, Sally..
