About Me
Joanie Morris moved to Lexington, KY in 2007 to work at the United States Equestrian Federation as the High Performance Communications Manager. In 2009 she was the event director for the 2009 Adequan FEI North American Junior/Young Rider Championships. For eight years she worked for Olympian Phillip Dutton, and for two years she also was the editor/staff writer for the Steeplechase/Eventing Times in Fair Hill, MD. She wrote for a daily racing paper in Saratoga Springs, NY, and covered racing at the Breeders’ Cup and Keeneland. A graduate of the University of Delaware, she likes to run, read, travel, observe Labrador intelligence in the form of her black lab Sailor and Jack Russel manipulatuion courtesy of Brighton. She has successfully convinced her former racehorse that there will be no more trips to the track in his future.
