About Me

Dr. Ruth Wilburn, DVM, aka “Dr. Ruth,” was born and raised in Yazoo City, MS, where she was first introduced to Welsh ponies. After graduating from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Ruth opened a mixed animal practice in Olive Branch, MS. Rollingwoods Farm was started in 1983 when her sisters Joanna Wilburn and Sally Ross Davis and she began breeding and showing Welsh ponies and Welsh crossbreds. Rollingwoods has bred and produced multiple USEF and WPCSA National Champions in Welsh and Open Pony Hunter divisions. Dr. Ruth has been President of the Welsh Pony and Cob Society since 1993 and currently serves on United States Equestrian Federation and United States Hunter Jumper Association committees.
